The following Terms of Use are entered into by and between You and Quiltopia Canada (“Company”, “we”, or “us”).
The following terms and conditions, together with any documents they expressly incorporate by reference (“Terms of Use”), govern your access to and use of www.QuiltopiaCanada.ca, including any content, functionality and services offered on or through www.QuiltopiaCanada.ca (the “Website”), whether as a guest or a registered user.

Visiting the Website or sending emails to the Company constitutes electronic communications. User Communication
The Website may contain chat areas, news groups, forums, communities, comment sections or other message or communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate with the public at large or with a group.

The Company has no obligation to monitor the user communications but reserves the right to review materials posted to the Website and to remove any materials in its sole discretion. The Company reserves the right to terminate your access to any or all of the user communication services at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever and to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable laws.
Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policies
Payment Policy
- Payment must be made in full prior to product(s) being shipped to the buyer.
- Fixed quotes are provided to buyers that include the details of the project, product or service to be supplied; the delivery date, and cost.
- All materials, labour, shipping, insurance and taxes are included in the price of the products and on quotes for custom products.
- 50% of the cost of custom products must be paid up front prior to work starting with the remainder being due upon completion when the product(s) are ready to be shipped.
- Payment of the 50% deposit against custom products constitutes agreement of the description of the product to be created as noted on the latest version of the quotation provided to the buyer.
- Payments may be made by e-transfer to jill@quiltopiacanada.ca; via certified cheque or money order made out to Quiltopia Canada or cash.
Changes and Cancelation Policy
- Once the work has started, any changes to the quote would be negotiated between Quiltopia Canada and the buyer. Additional payment or credit may be processed to account for price differences as agreed upon by both parties.
- Once payment is received for ready-made products or patterns, orders can only be canceled prior to shipping of the product(s). Once the product has been shipped, refer to refund policy.
- Once the 50% down payment is received for custom products, NO REFUND will be given for the deposit in the event the buyer wants to cancel the order. Quiltopia Canada my request partial payment against the remaining 50% to account for work completed at the time of cancelation.
Other Policies
- All reasonable efforts are made to meet deadlines, however, if and when unavoidable circumstances arise that may result in a delay, Quiltopia Canada will contact the buyer to advise them of changes to a delivery date. Unavoidable circumstances may include but not be limited to supply chain delays in getting materials; delays in delivery of finished product(s) due to acts of God, COVID-19, postal/delivery service strikes or events; terrorist attacks; serious illness of the Quilt Maker, their staff or family etc.
- Shipping includes insurance in case the product is lost or damaged. Please contact Quiltopia Canada if the product does not arrive or is damaged so that we can contact and claim against the insurer and either process a refund, remake the quilt or make good.
Refund Policy
- Full or partial refunds may be provided at the sole discretion of Quiltopia Canada if buyers are not satisfied with the product. Buyers MUST contact us within 5 calendar days of receiving the product to discuss the issue and confirm eligibility for return. Return shipping will always be at the buyers expense and must include insurance for the value paid for the product as well as ensure a signature is required and no safe drop option is selected as part of the insurance. The product must be returned in pristine condition within 20 days from receipt of the product.
Changes To the Terms Of Use
We may revise and update these Terms of Use from time to time in our sole discretion. All changes are effective immediately when we post them, and apply to all access to and use of the Website thereafter. Your continued use of the Website following the posting of revised Terms of Use means that you accept and agree to the changes. You are expected to check this page from time to time so you are aware of any changes, as they are binding on you.
Jurisdiction
This agreement between you, the user, and Quiltopia Canada, shall be governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the province of Nova Scotia and the laws of Canada applicable therein. You hereby consent and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Nova Scotia in any proceeding related to this agreement.
